Kataragama is another great pilgrim shrine, which is dedicated to Skanda, a popular Hindu deity. Daily poojas are conducted in the morning and evening, which draw large crowds bringing offerings of fruits, flowers and incense to make and fulfill vows.

Visit for a Tea at Martin Wickremasinghe Museum, Kogalla
Martin Wickremasinghe, is a great Sinhalese author and artist of modern times with a vast collection of over 80 books. A large anthology of artifacts of Sinhalese culture is displayed at this museum.
